Evaluations

An evaluation is a written or verbal, if you prefer, description of the physical and optical properties, attributes and characteristics of a mineral, gemstone or piece of jewellery, but does not provide a dollar value for the item.

Evaluations are perfect for business and individuals who simply want to know, “What is it? Is it real?” “Did I get what I was told I was buying?” To a wide range of people and situations these are all valid questions.

As a written document an evaluation is used for identification purposes only, and they are not included as part of my verification system. This service is performed on an hourly rate basis and there are different rates depending on the level of service rendered. Listed below are my current rates for evaluations:

Location Service
$60.00 per hour - Minimum 2 hours, including travel time, billed in full hour increments.

 Advanced Laboratory Service
$400.00 per hour - includes all aspects of my Basic Laboratory Service with detailed work at clients request on the UV/ VIS / FT-IR Spectrophotometer, Colorimeter or Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer.
